A Clean-Up Specialist for County Government

Environmental clean-up specialist Manny Nichols is running for Blair County Commissioner, promising energetic leadership based on hard work, business-style efficiency, public transparency, and common sense. Nichols heads the Altoona-based clean-up firm Clear Creek Company, which has handled everything from toxic spills to crime-scene remediation for nearly 30 years. Nichols also served as vice-president of the Hollidaysburg Area School District for three years, overseeing contract negotiations with unions and helping to oversee a $64 million budget.

Nichols has been a solid conservative vote on the Hollidaysburg School Board. He spearheaded the fight against the teachers' union-driven tax increase last year. He has been a passionate defender of children against the left-wing cultural agenda foisted on our classrooms by the education syndicate.

“My experience in environmental clean-up has taught me three important lessons,” says Nichols. “Lesson one: Sunshine is the best disinfectant. Lesson two: government cannot function without thriving independent businesses that generate real wealth. And lesson three: First responders, like EMTs and Firemen, are the guardian angels of the community.”

Manny Nichols is in direct alliance with the principals of The John Galt Society. He is clever, pro-business and has deep organic connections to his community. He has the proven strength of character to resist entrenched interests. Along with Scott Barger, we think he is just the right person to serve ordinary taxpayers and businesses as County Commissioner.

"I have an unyielding a commitment to transparency — even when it is inconvenient — and a willingness to listen to the working people & small businesses paying the taxes.”
